2nd August 2009 Outing @ pottery & other stuff that followed...
todae was breakfast day...every first sunday of the month, the potters in thow kwang will meet up together at the treehouse and have a pot luck breakfast, in other words, everyone will bring a different kinda food and all of us share...lols im not exactly a potter but i always followed my mom there since young [when i say young, i meant the time that i had short hair =.= ] so everyone there treated me like one of them...isnt tt good? =]
well however, few of the potters were not able to make it and 2 were late...so in the morning there were only my mom, mrs tan and this lady named hua hoon [donno if i spelt it rongly]...we had a great chat and soon stella came...she is mrs tan's niece...mrs tan is sort of the manager in charge of the place fyi lols...
before the breakfast, we went to take picture of the dragon kiln...its going to be fired next week and my mom is taking night shift! woohoo the most important thing is I AM GOING! haha previous sessions of firing made me yearn for more...haha they were packing the pots into the kiln so yeah...
here are the smaller ones...i tink they are still finding place to put them or they haven decided where to put them at...haha
this is the inside of the kiln...i tink its height is only bout one metre plus so while taking this i had to bend my head...knocked it however and yeah owwww...haha
mrs tan said when she saw my backview she didnt noe it was me trying to take picture and she told me she almost said " erm girl, i help u on light and please dont step through" and stuff like tt...my mom and i had a good laugh...so here is one with the lights on...this is the back of the kiln...we are only firing front so yeah...
as u can see, there is a blocker there to prevent the public's entrance during this time...coz the pots packed in are still soft and fragile and no potters will tolerate any cracks or disasters happening to their pots...however, the blocker is only temporary...other times, the kiln is opened for public access...
this is the front of the dragon kiln...the tiny squarish hole is for the throwing in of wood during the firing to make sure it maintains its hot temperature...[when i say hot, i mean a thousand plus degrees] there will be a meter to measure the temperature and make sure it stays constant...
y do i always forget to rotate the pic? haha this is the pine tree [or wadeva] found in the center of the space for parking...its huge like a christmas tree...didnt noe y i took it...but i just did...

there was this peacock looking thingy beside the kiln...found it cute so i took its pic...remembered sandy being tied here...she is a dog btw...i wonder how she is...

here is the noodles that mrs tan cooked...she is a super talented chef coz every dish she cooks always melt my tastebuds away...lols one of my favourites is her pumpkin cake...ahhhh! lols this one was pretty fine as well...loves the chilli...its like super hot but tt day i didnt noe wads rong with me...i burnt my tongue few days ago and when the chilli came in its super painful...but damn shuang...haha
this is my milk tea...mrs tan always have 2 boxes of coffee powder or tea...every flavour and every kind...i wanted to drink tea so there it is! =]

and i start to work too...lols this is the thingy i made like months ago...no one fired...so i guess its going to go into the dragon kiln...jiayous! must come out in one piece k? and just incase it didnt, i took its pic...
the coloured stuff is broken pieces of glass...they help enhanced the effect...lols basically they will just melt and leave that crystal texture...so yeah...used different types of colour...one of the petals dropped when i was doing so but i fixed it back...the left bottom one...thats y there is a patch of water there...lols haven dry yet...
this is the birthday present that i made for mummy aw...lols god-mom...but her birthday was long over and they haven help me fire...but nw its going in as well...its heart dropped long ago and my mom said just fire seperately den when it comes out, use superglue...
haha but i managed to fix it...magic fingers...the other time no matter hw i tried it still drops...but it seems, todae its so simple...

den we went shopping and my mom heeyao all her vouchers out...one was mph and she told me to choose books or wadeva...so i bought a marker, staples for my stapler and 2 books...horror i tink...haha im weird dare to read but dont dare watch...
den we went to bishan mrt station to fetch mummy aw who was going with us to the wedding...the car turned all over the place and finally found the station...den have to turn all over the place again to find the clubhouse...i searched the directory and yeah when i almost found it, my mom reach ler...lols
the hall was huge and there were many people...bride and groom were still there...shook hands with their parents...coz its de parents that we know...there were gifts and they actually differentiate who take wad...den i was like wth...lols left within 5 mins...and didnt noe mummy aw wanted to eat...so we head down to changi airport to fill her tummy...
guess wad we ate? lols...we went to terminal 3 btw...
so while waiting for our orders i took pics again...

we were sitting there at first but my mom decided to move coz no arm rest...
and we changed seat to this brown chair...
ceiling is special...just tt if drop, den i donno hw...

ok change topic...the drinks came first...left, some nuts thingy...inside actually contains nuts... [mummy aw's], middle, mine is iced mocha [mine!] and right, mom one is apple donno wad soda... [mom]

den this vegetarian dish came first...saw tomatoes so i wasnt really keen bout eating it...and since mummy aw so hungry, its all hers...
den the bake rice came...i didnt hear wad they ordered but it tasted like chicken...was happily eating until i realise something...y is my mom eating it when she noes its chicken? den i was quite puzzled n tot she was only eating the cheese...
was happily eating when my mom actually saw the chicken inside...in the end it was a misunderstanding coz the order was suppose to be mushroom bake rice...den my mom realise y no mushroom den got chicken instead...told the manager and said we were vegetarian and he was like super duper sorry...he offered us one of the more expensive cake n starting mummy aw n i wanted to say its ok...my mom said ok sure...den both of us stare at her...
den we laughed coz yeah like damn zhi1 jie1...den the manager went in n yeah the next plate tt came out was the correct one...found out tt the chef spam the ingredients this time to imply his apologises...the manager kept on apologising everytime he walk past and kept on pouring water for us...i guess he must be feeling like wth i wann dig hole in ground n hide or something...wads more it wasnt his mistake and he was in a sense reprimanded for his worker's mistake...poor thing...

its super duper thick can? and damn nice...guess its more than 5 bucks per slice...

my mom sent mummy aw to the bedok mrt station and we bid farewell...my bro is suppose to meet us at the airport after his work but he will take like 1 hour...so we told him nvm pack rice for him...
den i went to my dad shop to collect the chicken soup that one of the auntie made for me...omg its like wow coz she oso spam ingredients...she everytime cook soup for me...like my granny...wonder how she is in heaven...
